A Father’s Salvation
My father had always been against Christianity and he would scold those who tried to evangelise to him.
Around three to four years ago, he was diagnosed with late stage lymphoma (a cancer that attacks the body’s immune system). The doctors had no solution nor was anyone confident of my father’s survival.
He eventually went for chemotherapy. Things seemed fine at the beginning. I tried to share with him about Christ, but was rejected over and over again. After a lengthy period of treatment, things turned for the worse. My father was in immense pain and regularly stayed in the hospital. On top of that, the side effects of the treatment also affected his mental capacity. It caused much distress in the family.
The turnaround came when I felt the Holy Spirit prompted me that it was time for my father to be saved. I contacted New Creation Church’s Chinese Ministry and arranged for volunteers to come to my parents’ place.
The moment they spoke to my father, I could tell that there was a peace upon him. They were chatting, then a miracle happened—the volunteers invited my parents to say the salvation prayer and both of them accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour!
The volunteers also prayed for my father’s condition. By God’s grace, two years after that meeting, my father has no more symptoms of lymphoma. All glory to Jesus!
