Received Timely Provision for Children’s School Fees
On Friday, I was driving home from work when I tuned in to Pastor Prince’s sermon “Live the Let-Go Life” on YouTube. It was a rhema word for me, the right message at the right time.
My 2 children were on mid-term break from school and were to return to school the coming Monday. Their respective schools had given us fee-balance demand notices and informed us they wouldn’t be allowed back in school unless their fees were paid.
After I listened to Pastor Prince’s sermon, I purposed to trust in the Lord. When I got home, I told my wife the fees would be sorted out and that we should talk about other things instead. At that time, I was on my last dollar, but I told myself not to worry about it.
When I woke up the next day, I knelt by my bedside, placed the demand notices in front of me, and told the Lord, “Father, this is among the burdens You told us to bring to You in Matthew 11:28–30. I am bringing it before You on the promise of Your Word. I don’t want to worry anymore because I know by Monday, my children will be headed back to school with their fees fully paid. Thank You for Your endless mercies. Amen.”
On Sunday at 9 p.m., I received a message informing me I had received money from someone. At first, the name didn’t ring any bells, but the person called immediately to confirm whether I’d received the money. It was my longtime friend whom I had lent money to 3 years ago when he was going through some financial difficulties. He told me he had just been paid for a contract he carried out 2 years ago and felt the urge to pay back this debt to me before doing anything else. Surprisingly, the amount he repaid was exactly the total balance of my children’s school fees!
Pastor Prince, I realized the Lord answered my prayer, but more importantly, I developed a greater fondness for Him. It felt like He was seated right across me in the living room, and I could just converse with Him like I would with my father. I thank God for your teachings and revelations about Jesus.
