My car had broken down on the highway, so I had to leave it at the dealership after it was towed there. It was still under warranty. The service advisor called to tell me the repair would cost more than US$3,400. When I asked the dealer if the repair was under warranty, he said no.

I have been dancing for 8 years and am currently training to make dancing my professional career and dance with a company. Last year, I decided to take on more advanced and rigorous training. I began to take classes at another studio in addition to the studio I had already been attending.

Pastor Joseph Prince, 6 years ago, my life was a disaster. I was forced to divorce my wife and to break up with my family and friends. I was at the lowest point in my life. I had a lot of financial debts, and I was addicted to pornography and smoking. I was completely alone without my family and friends. There were many days where I didn’t have anything to eat in the evening because I had no money.

I used to attend a church in Perth, Australia but never truly felt that I belonged there. Growing up, I always had a void in my life due to the bullying I experienced, and the absence of my parents as I was in boarding school, and also their expectations of me to excel in my studies.

As a young girl, I believed no one, including my family, liked me. Once I drew a picture of myself being attacked by demons. I drew Jesus standing off to the side and watching me in disappointment as I struggled under the weight of the attacks. I believed He could help, but I also believed the weight was mine to bear. I thought only when I overcame the struggle that Jesus and I could move on.

I had been raised by a cruel and abusive father who was mentally unsound and incredibly legalistic. I spent my childhood fearing him and struggled desperately to be loved. By the time I was a teenager, my self-esteem was incredibly low. I thought I was hideously unattractive, stupid, and a burden to anybody I met.

My children had been taken away from me in 1983. Their mother married another man who adopted my children, and they tried to prevent me from seeing them again.

I was raised as a believer but was taught some limiting beliefs. I believed if I was trusting God for something and sinned, spoke negatively about it, or got in strife with someone, that would end my “faith walk” of trusting God for my breakthrough, and I had to start back at square one. I also believed that if my breakthrough took time or wasn’t happening, it was because my faith wasn’t enough.

On Friday, I was driving home from work when I tuned in to Pastor Prince’s sermon “Live the Let-Go Life” on YouTube. It was a rhema word for me, the right message at the right time.

Earlier this year, I had been told by my supervisor that the company had to let me go because the firm was struggling amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. They needed to cut costs and unfortunately that involved the removal of my role. Just like that, I was let go the following day.

I came across Joseph Prince’s website when I was jobless. I searched randomly for testimonies of people who had gotten jobs miraculously and an encouraging praise report came up.

We had always wanted a child from the first year of our marriage back in 2011. However, despite our best efforts, we never managed to conceive. It was not until our second year of marriage that we started consulting doctors to understand the complexity of the issues that both my wife and I were facing.
