My niece has been in Singapore under a tourist visa since March. Her initial plan was to visit her fiancé in Singapore, go back home to Indonesia, and return later for her solemnisation with him.

When the COVID-19 situation got worse, she was worried that if she went back, she would not be able to return to Singapore. In the midst of these uncertainties, she told me that she felt God reaching out to her. I encouraged her to simply respond by acknowledging His love and sharing her concerns with Him. She started to pray, and experienced peace in her heart.

When she applied to extend her stay in Singapore, the officials told her that the chances were slim. I encouraged her to leave the matter to the Lord, and to continue praying.

The Lord heard her cries! Her visa was extended for another two months, giving her enough time to complete her solemnisation in Singapore.

My niece also shared with us that God never felt so real in her life until this COVID-19 season when she realised that she needed to lean on and find rest in Him. She then prayed to receive Christ as her Saviour!

Indeed, in these times, the Lord is reaching out to many souls and saving them. He is truly the Lord of time and space!
