No More Feeling Condemned, Experiencing Peace And Contentment
I have been a Christian for almost 38 years. For years, I lived with sin-consciousness. The weight of God’s law was on my shoulders and my life was about striving to make myself acceptable and pleasing to God and man.
About 3 or 4 years ago, I happened see Pastor Prince on God TV while flicking through the Christian channels. At that time, he was teaching on the Holy Communion. The little I heard was very attractive, very welcoming, as I found the message pure and divine. From then on, any time I happened to catch Pastor Prince on God TV, I would watch him.
However, I never positioned myself to really listen to what he was saying. I would be distracted and listen to bits and pieces without paying full attention to what was being preached. But unbeknownst to me, God was using him to prepare me for the day when I would be wholeheartedly introduced to God’s grace.
In August 2014, I was at a very low point in my life and was crying out to the Lord for help. He revealed to me that I had a very wrong idea of His righteousness for me. I was shocked that after all these years I still did not have the right revelation about His righteousness. So I asked the Lord to teach me more about this.
One Sunday afternoon, I went to visit my nephew and his wife. My nephew began to tell me about Joseph Prince Ministries and the “live” services that he had been watching at home. He also shared with me how Joseph Prince’s ministry was changing his life.
He had been living a defeated life as Christian and could not understand why he was still in bondage to sin. I was intrigued. The more he shared Pastor Prince’ teachings and the gospel of grace with me, the more I felt my spirit coming to life. Grace was quickening my heart. Right there and then, I knew I had found the answer to breaking free from condemnation, sin-consciousness, and legalism!
When I came home, I went straight to the Joseph Prince Ministries website. I signed up for all the online grace materials. I also started reading the testimonies and they really encouraged me.
Now, I watch the on-demand messages every morning and read the corresponding Daily Grace Inspiration email devotionals. I also write down my comments or insights in red. These resources are indeed rich nourishment to my famished soul. I never knew the Word of God could be this sweet!
The weight of guilt and the condemnation of the law have been lifted off me. I am experiencing a peace and contentment I never had. I am also growing in faith and confidence in my Daddy God. I love the gospel of grace and what it tells me about the abundance of grace and gift of righteousness I have through Jesus’ finished work at the cross. Now, I am standing tall and I always look forward in anticipation of Pastor Prince’s email messages, wondering what new truths I am going to learn from Daddy God.
Words fail to express what God has done through the ministry of Pastor Prince. He certainly unveils and lifts up Jesus in His radiant beauty and abundant grace. I pray that God will help me to help others experience the gospel of grace.
